Blueprint for Core Skills

Financial Modeling is a core skill that is almost mandatory for anyone who wants to build a career in finance. When a corporate takes a financial decision – be it acquiring another Company or investing in a new project – it prepares projection of what revenue and costs are likely to be and on the basis of such projections, takes a decision of whether to acquire the target or whether to invest in project, etc. In stock market analysis, we look at the past performance of the company and then project future revenue, profitability and cash flows of the company and therefore conclude if we should buy, sell or hold shares of that Company.
